Après avoir navigué sur toutes les mers du globe durant sa carrière de gréeur-mateloteur pour les plus grands noms de la course au large, Cédric Chauvaud dit «Chien Noir» détourne pour la première fois son savoir-faire en 1997, à l'occasion du Festival du Vent de Calvi, en Corse.

Il y crée une structure en filets, la Baleine, qui remporte un succès immédiat. Il faut attendre 2008 pour que le premier Parcabout® voie le jour sur l'île de Groix (56).

Fin 2014, la société Chien Noir investit le fort du Haut Grognon, une ancienne batterie de la fin du 19ème siècle située au nord-ouest de Groix, pour y implanter son atelier de fabrication des Parcabout® et de matelotage… un lieu d'invention et de création!

After sailing all over the world during his career as a rigger-deckhand for the biggest names in ocean racing, Cédric Chauvaud, known as "Chien Noir," first applied his expertise in 1997 at the Calvi Wind Festival in Corsica.

There, he created a net structure, the Whale, which was an immediate success. It wasn't until 2008 that the first Parcabout® was built on the island of Groix (county of Morbihan, Brittany, France).

At the end of 2014, the Chien Noir company moved into the Fort du Haut Grognon, a former late 19th-century battery located northwest of Groix, to set up its Parcabout® manufacturing and seamanship workshop... a place of invention and creation !

Qu'est-ce qu'un Parcabout® ?

Un «bout», prononcé «boute» par un marin, désigne tout simplement un cordage!

Le concept du Parcabout® est d'utiliser les matériaux et techniques du monde maritime pour réaliser de grands parcs de loisirs suspendus.

Comparés à tort aux accrobranches, les Parcabout® sont d'immenses sculptures en filets suspendues dans les arbres (ou mises en place sur des poteaux) dans lesquelles chacun peut circuler librement en toute sécurité.
L'installation respecte les arbres, l'écorce et la montée de sève.

Le concept permet des réalisations uniques adaptées à chaque site, ce qui leur confère un caractère singulier exceptionnel.

Un point essentiel du concept Parcabout® est la liberté!
La liberté de mouvement à l'intérieur de la structure est totale puisque nul besoin d'équipement particulier pour y accéder et profiter des sensations.

Le savoir-faire acquis en 17 ans de conception-fabrication-installation de Parcabout® nous permet d'innover constamment et d'offrir un niveau de finitions que nous exportons, du Canada à la Corée du Sud, au Japon, à Singapour, au Royaume-Uni et bien sûr en Europe.

What's a Parcabout® ?

A "bout", pronounced "boute" by a sailor, simply means a rope!

Parcabout® concept is to use materials and techniques from the maritime world to create large suspended amusement parks.

Wrongly compared to treetop adventure parks, Parcabout® are huge net sculptures suspended in trees (or installed on poles) within which everyone can move freely and safely.
The installation respects the trees, their bark, and the rising sap.

The concept allows for unique creations adapted to each site, giving them an exceptionally unique character.

A key aspect of the Parcabout® concept is freedom!
Freedom of movement within the structure is total, as no special equipment is required to access it and enjoy the thrills.

The know-how acquired over 17 years of design-manufacturing-installation of Parcabout® allows us to constantly innovate and offer a level of finishes that we export, from Canada to South Korea, Japan, Singapore, the United Kingdom and of course Europe.
