A Parcabout into the Jewel terminal of Changi Airport, Singapore

Stp.Singapore

The objective was to build a Parcabout on supporting structures at the top floor of the new and audacious architecture of Changi Airport. Below an impressing glass dome, the Jewel Project shelters a tropical forest and a waterfall of 40 metres, the Rain Vortex.

After 4 years of extensive studies, this unique project is now finalised. The Parcabout offers a game surface area of 500 sq.m overhanging the tropical forest.

This installation has been almost all done by hand weaving in our fabrication shop in l’île de Groix, in order to comply with high safety standards imposed by Jewel’s developers.

The Parcabout opened in June, 2019.
